TAUNTON, MA, June 03, 2024 — Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), headquartered in Taunton, Massachusetts, held its third annual BCSB CARES: Employee Volunteer Day last Wednesday, May 22nd. The Bank closed all its offices, and more than 300 Bank employees, along with its affiliates, Bristol Wealth Group and Milestone Mortgage Solutions, spent the afternoon giving back at 18 different sites across the Bank’s service area in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
“Doing our part to make our communities a better place to live and work has been our mission since we were founded more than 178 years ago, and I’m grateful that we were able to put it into practice today with help from hundreds of our employee-volunteers,” said Patrick Murray, CEO of Bristol County Savings Bank. “Our mantra while we did our work was ‘Count On Us’ and I hope the time and energy spent at these different non-profits and municipalities only reinforces that commitment throughout the communities we serve.”
The organizations served by this year’s Employee Volunteer Day included: TAUNTON AREA – Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South, City of Taunton – Weir Waterfront Park, My Brother’s Keeper and Old Colony YMCA; ATTLEBORO AREA – Attleboro/Norton YMCA (Camp Finberg), Old Colony Habitat for Humanity and Hockomock Area YMCA; GREATER NEW BEDFORD – Boys & Girls Club of Greater New Bedford, Gifts to Give, My Brother’s Keeper, Sharing the Harvest and Y.O.U. (Youth Opportunities Unlimited); GREATER FALL RIVER – Battleship Cove and Boys & Girls Clubs of Fall River; and RHODE ISLAND – City of Pawtucket and Federal Hill House.

The improvements you made are already making a difference and our youth are benefitting from the enhanced environment you helped create.”
