Cheryl Galloway Appointed AVP Community Development Officer
Prior to joining the Bank, Galloway held the positions of Assistant Vice President – Community Lending Officer at BankNewport, Bilingual Mortgage Processor with Guaranteed Rate Affinity and Bilingual Director of Admissions and Student Funding & Special Events Advisor for Times2 STEM Academy, all located in Providence, Rhode Island. Active in the community, she is a member of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Providence and Worship Arts Restoration in Cranston, Rhode Island; a member of the Loan Committee for West Elmwood Housing Development Corporation in Providence; a member of the Fundraising Committee for Butler Hospital in Providence; and a member of the Bread of Life International Worship Center in East Providence. Galloway was a recipient of BankNewport’s 2023 Volunteer Award.
Galloway holds a bachelor’s degree in Individualized Studies/Urban and Community Development from Charter Oak State College in New Britain, Connecticut and is bilingual in Spanish and English. She resides in Providence.
