Bristol County Savings Bank Promotes Four To AVP/Branch Manager
Previously, Angelebeth Faria held the positions of Branch Manager & Retail Banking Officer and Universal Banker at the Bank’s East Freetown office. Prior to her tenure at Bristol County Savings Bank, Faria served as a Branch Operations Manager for Santander Bank in Fall River, Massachusetts. She has earned her Universal Banker certification and is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Association New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts. Faria resides in Fall River.
Before her recent promotion, Monica Furtado served as Branch Manager for the Bank’s downtown New Bedford office. Previously, she held the positions of Branch Manager at BayCoast Bank in New Bedford, Massachusetts; Assistant Branch Manager of the Dartmouth, Massachusetts office at Bristol County Savings Bank; Teller Supervisor for Webster Bank in New Bedford; and Teller with First Federal Savings Bank in New Bedford.
Outside of the office, Furtado serves as Clerk and a Board Member for PACE Inc., Board Member at both Global Learning Charter School and New Bedford Star Kids, Treasurer at 3rd Eye Youth Empowerment, Inc., member of the YWCA of Southeastern Massachusetts and volunteer for Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts, all located in New Bedford. Furtado lives in New Bedford.
Prior to her recent promotion, Marlene Lira served as Branch Manager of the Bank’s Ashley Boulevard office in New Bedford, Massachusetts and served as Branch Supervisor and Assistant Branch Manager as well. Previously, she held several positions at Santander and its predecessor banks, including Assistant Branch Manager at its Braley Road office in New Bedford. Fluent in Portuguese, Lira also has worked for Compass Bank, Fleet Bank and NBIS all in the Southcoast. Her professional associations include being a member of the Rotary Club of New Bedford. Lira resides in Acushnet, Massachusetts.
Christine Paredes held the position of Branch Manager & Retail Banking Officer for the Bank’s Fall River, Massachusetts office prior to her promotion and also served as Universal Banker II and Branch Supervisor at the Bank. Previously, she worked as a Universal Banker at Santander Bank in Fall River. Paredes serves as a Board Member for the YEAH!! Corps in Fall River. She has earned her Universal Banker certification and lives in Fall River.
